The Else Kröner Fresenius Foundation together with the University Medical Center Göttingen and the state of Lower Saxony are establishing the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Optogenetic Therapies (EKFZ) which will support the development of novel optogenetic therapies and bring these to clinical application. We are searching for a scientific coordinator to support the work of the EKFZ.
Your tasks:

  • As coordinator of the center, your tasks in support of the teams and platforms will be:
  • Organization of interactions between the teams and platforms of the center
  • Organization of scientific meetings, colloquia, and public outreach activities
  • Support in the acquisition of third-party funds 
  • Distribution of general funds in coordination with the board of the center
  • Support in the hiring of new personnel and the procurement of devices

Your profile:

  • A university degree in the life sciences or medicine
  • Experience in the university / non-university research environment, ideally with a focus on science management / coordination
  • Previous knowledge of scientific project and third-party funding management
  • Good knowledge of English and German
